Welcome to the Department of Medical Microbiology at the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine, Awka. Since its inception, the Department of Medical Microbiology has achieved numerous milestones. We are proud of our legacy of strong leadership under notable figures such as Prof. P. Ughachukwu and Dr. J. Umeibe, and currently, Dr. C.E. Ejike serves as the Acting Head of Department (HOD). Our commitment to excellence has been recognized through successful accreditations by both the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and the National Universities Commission (NUC).
